Let's see...house payment is within range. Car payment is a pain in the ass, but it is still within reach. Liability insurance for teaching is an ouch, but there is nothing I can do about it at this time. I should start getting paid again from Bach 2 Rock on the 15th. At least I hope that I have enough hours to get a pay check. Compared to where I was when Carol and I first bought this place, finances are tight, but we are not poor. I could use a few more gigs, actually.
In some ways, I'm in the process of winding things down. I'm going to be sixty two next year, and I'm seriously considering taking early Social Security. The only drawback to that, is that I am limited to earning $15,500 per year until I am sixty six. That means that I will have to cut back on some of my teaching, so that I have some wiggle room for gigs. I was going to wait until I was at least sixty six, but the more I think about it, the more I am inclined to go ahead and start drawing early. Right now I'm waiting to see what the VA gives me in disability compensation. That will be the determining factor as far as what I decide to do.
