Hello again,
Over the Thanksgiving weekend, one of our dogs, Duke, the beagle, went into kidney failure, and had to be euthanized. It was sad. When a family member dies, you are reminded of your own mortality. When a pet dies, you are not only reminded of your own mortality, but also of your own humanity. This is especially true of dogs; a dog provides nothing but unconditional love.
I will always miss that little animal. He was a rescue puppy from Kentucky (4 months old), when he arrived at our doorstep. His birthday was January 1st. January 1, 2018, he would have been 5 years old. He made his mistakes, but all in all, he was a great dog. God bless him in his new home in Heaven. I can't wait to meet him at the Rainbow Bridge.
